Mother's Day Butterfly footprints

Yesterday I wrote a post about 2 projects I had selected for Mother's Day for the daycare kiddo's.  One involved painting feet, the other involved a photograph and a CD envelope.  Well.... the 2nd one fell through.  I didn't get to take pictures at the park yesterday like I had planned because we arrived and discovered that the batteries in the camera were dead.  That's alright.  I'm just going to roll with it and call the photograph and CD envelope project our Father's Day project.  Yea me!  I'm ahead for a change!  LOL

What we did do is make butterfly footprints.  The kids are always begging for me to paint them, so they were very excited about this project.

They lined up the colors and talked about their names and which ones they liked.  Then they each chose one and I sat them in order, deciding who would be 1st, 2nd and 3rd.

The paint was cold and the brush was tickly.  It was AWESOME.  It smelled a little funny though...

I put the foot prints for the sisters together on the same page.  It's fun to compare because there is just a little less than a year between them.  The younger one just turned two this week, so momma has  2-two year olds just in time for Mother's Day.  In a couple more weeks the older one will turn three.

I think I liked the 4 year olds prints the best.  I loved the blue with the green.  Just beautiful!

Linking up with Living Life Intentionally today!
