Dear Lysol,

For years now I have loved and trusted your product. Time and time again I have used it for cleaning my house. I love its fresh clean scent and its label claiming to "kill 99.9% of viruses & bacteria". It gives me a sense of calm and healing every time I use it. I just have one question for your company though, why do you not sell a Lysol bomb?

With the school year starting, and some of my daycare children venturing out into the wild (and germy) world of preschool part time, I expect that within a month my house will be overrun with all types of illness, none of them pleasant and none of them welcome. Now is the time for action.

I know you know what I'm looking for. I need a "bug bomb" designed specifically for bacteria and viruses. I really want something that, after a virus has been detected in the household, I can grab the canister, set it to go off and disinfect my home while I am away having coffee and antiquing for the afternoon. I want to come home knowing that your product has infiltrated every fiber of my living space, annihilating all viruses and bacteria and leaving me with the sense that I have won the battle against illness in my household.

Why have you not developed a bomb, Lysol? Has the thought simply not occurred to you, or do you feel it would make the whole cleaning/disinfecting process too effective, thus rendering your product obsolete. Have you no experience with toddlers? They are master virus and bacteria detectors. They search it out, absorb it and then systematically place it in every molecule of your living space. This product would literally fly off your shelves. You would NOT be able to keep it in stock.

I am reaching the moment of panic.  I really need some answers here, and I need them soon. The hour of the virus is upon us. Please, Lysol.  Please work on developing this product. I will be checking the shelf at the store weekly.  I know you won’t disappoint!
